Bigger Than Ball  was formed in January 2017 to give a vehicle for the message that so many great coaches across the nation are capturing and modeling.  "Coaches hear every day that they must win, but we want to make sure that coaches remember their WHY...It is so easy to fall to the pressure of the extreme competitive nature of sports and get lost in the process, "  says Lowrey, "and we also want to highlight those coaches that understand the larger impact of their platform and the opportunities for the coaching industry in hopes that they will impact their fans and the next generation of coaches."

Lowrey's wife Jennifer, was a recipient of a double-lung transplant in January of 2011 her second on Valentine's Day, 2021.  "Walking through these adversities with Jennifer, I got deep in prayer and understand exactly how God teaches us that we aren't living for this world," Lowrey speaks on what impacted him to begin this foundation.  Lowrey is committed to using this foundation to organize a network focused on winning the right way.

Will lives in Tupelo, Mississippi with Jennifer and their daughter Jilanna where he has been Athletic Director for Blue Mountain College since May of 2018.  He also was the head baseball coach for Tupelo Christian Prep from 2011-2018.  His teams have been to 5 North Half Championships and won the State Title in 2016.  He is a graduate of Biggersville High School and a member of the 1994 Class 1A State Championship team.  Lowrey graduated from Delta State University with a Business Administration degree where he was also a member of the Baseball program from 1995-1998 under the guidance of the late Bill Marchant and current Head Coach Mike Kinnison.  Lowrey led the team in hitting in 1997 and was a two-time GSC All Conference member.  In May of 2016, Lowrey earned his Masters in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from Western Kentucky University.
